Sue Knowlton Shop Manager Sue has been in the Home Décor business for over twenty years and still loves it! She says, “Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for many years. It’s just amazing to me that you can build just about anything from wood with every species and piece having its own character. With the ever-changing styles and colors it’s never the same old thing, each design has its own challenges.” Sue works with our customers to bring their vision to reality whether it’s a kitchen, built-in cabinet, or door. With the Cad programs we now have, drawings are detailed and accurate. No more hours and hours trying to draw by hand pictures that try to portray what you have in mind. Sue has lived in Maine all her life and has four children who have also settled here with their families. Her husband, Jim, is a lobsterman out of Vinalhaven Island, Maine. If you’re out in the bay you may just see their boat the, “Susan Louise”, harbored in Rockland or Vinalhaven.

Our Shop In our shop here at Heartwood Millworks we have four extremely talented guys who build what Sue designs in the office. Their names are Gary, Lenny, Mark and Bob and between them we have over one hundred years of experience!
